Why is the new joinee not able to add documents while completing an onboarding task?
During the onboarding process in Keka, new joiners are often required to upload documents to complete their profiles. However, there are several common reasons why they might encounter issues while doing so. This article outlines the key reasons for document upload failures and provides suggestions for overcoming them.
Possible Reasons for Document Upload Issues
-
Incomplete Preboarding Tasks – If the new joiner hasn’t completed all required preboarding tasks, they may face restrictions when trying to upload documents during onboarding.
-
Task Configuration Issues – You need to ensure that the onboarding task is properly configured and assigned to the employee to allow document uploads. If the document upload option is not enabled, employees won’t see the upload field.
-
Unsupported File Format – The system may restrict certain file types. If the employee tries to upload an unsupported format (e.g.,
.exe
,.zip
), the upload will fail. -
File Size Exceeded – Keka has a file size limit for document uploads. If the document exceeds this limit, the upload will not be successful. Employees should check the file size and compress it if necessary.
