What is an Authorized Signatory?
An Authorized Signatory refers to an individual within your organization who is authorized to sign important documents on behalf of a legal entity. These documents can include contracts, agreements, financial documents, and other official paperwork.

To add new signatory details for a legal entity in your organization, follow these steps:
Navigate to Legal Entities, from the left navigation pane, go to Org (1). In the Org Structure tab (2), click on Legal Entities (3). This will display all your organization's legal entities. Choose the relevant legal entity for which you want to add authorized signatories.
Once you've selected the legal entity, navigate to the Authorized Signatories tab. Click on the Add Authorized Signatory button. This will open a new window where you can input the signatory details. In the Add Signatory window, enter the following information for the authorized signatory:

- Signatory Name
- Designation
- Father’s Name
- Address
After completing these steps, the new signatory will be added to the selected legal entity, and you will be able to view all authorized signatories associated with any legal entity in the Authorized Signatories tab. You can add as many signatories as needed based on your organization's requirements.
In Keka, you have the option to edit an authorized signatory whenever needed. To do so, simply follow these steps:
- Go to the Authorized Signatories tab for the relevant legal entity.
- Find the signatory whose details you want to update.
- Click on the pencil icon next to the signatory's name to edit their details.
This will allow you to make changes to the signatory’s information, such as their name, designation, email, address, or any other relevant fields. After making the necessary updates, ensure you save the changes to keep the information up to date.
By following these steps, you can easily add and manage authorized signatories for each legal entity in your organization. This ensures that the right individuals have the necessary authority to sign official documents, streamlining administrative processes in Keka.
