Using Tags & Metrics to Streamline Goal Management


In Keka HR's Performance module, the Tags section under Administration is a feature that enhances goal organization and management. It enables HR professionals and managers to categorize and track goals effectively.

Accessing the Goals settings

To view the Goals Summary, go to the Performance (1), then click on Goals (2)  and then click on the Settings (3) and then select Tags (4) section.

Tags serve as identifiers that group similar goals and sub-goals, providing a clear structure and simplifying the tracking process.

They ensure that goals across the organization are categorized for ease of access and review.

Managing Tag Settings

To access tag settings click on the Edit icon 

The Tag settings  section allows for configuration, such as Enabling(1) tags for goals and sub-goals, Allowing(2) employees to create their own tags, and making these tags Visible(3) to everyone in the organization.


In the Tags list, you can Add new tags as needed to accommodate evolving goals and objectives.


Tags list table shows if the tags are Visible(1) are visible to all, ensuring transparency and alignment within teams and departments. The Goals/Sub-Goals count (2) indicates how many goals are associated with each tag, offering insight into focus areas.

The Actions(3) column provides options to change visibility, edit, replace or delete tags, ensuring that tag management remains flexible and up-to-date with organizational changes.

Benefits of Using Tags

Tags allow for a more organized view of goals, enabling quick filtering and reporting based on specific themes or initiatives. They foster a collaborative environment by allowing teams to align on common objectives and focus areas.

Using Metric Units

Metric units are used to measure/ evaluate the progress of an objective assigned to an employee.
