In Keka, the Expenses & Travel tab is where you manage your processes and policies regarding expenses and travel claims. When you click on this tab, the screen that greets you is the Summary tab. This tab gives you a quick overview of your expenses and some top-level numbers in a user-friendly manner using pie charts and graphs.
You can also filter this data based on location, business unit, cost centre, and department which makes it convenient to stay on top of your expense claims. This information is precious as it provides an analysis of your spending, across categories. It helps organizations gain insights into their spending patterns, with visuals that are straightforward to understand.
Let us understand more about the Summary of Expenses & Travel in detail,
To access the Expenses & Travel tab click on Org(1) from the left navigation menu, under this tab you can find Expenses & Travel(2) click on it.
The first tab that appears in Expense & Travel is Summary. There are two subsections in the Summary tab - The Snapshot page which gives you a quick overview of the overall process and how it works and the Analytics tab where you can find some more in-depth view of the expenses categorised across business units, locations and other parameters.
1) Snapshot
In the Snapshot tab, the first widget is the Expenses Snapshot. Here, you can easily access key details, including the total number of expenses paid out, the overall amount disbursed, the number of employees who have raised expense claims, and any pending receipt submissions. You can also send quick reminders to these employees to submit receipts or bills using the Send Reminder hyperlink.
This widget also features pie charts that categorises expenses by both expense category and status. These charts help you understand which categories have the most expense claims and what is the status of the claims raised. Some top-level insights can be found below each graph.
The Employee Expense Trend shows you details about expense claims made by your employees on a month-on-month basis. it allows you to see general trends in the number of expense claims as well as the total amount in these claims.
The Compare Category Wise Expense Trend represents the data of the month-on-month expenses made in each category. You can compare these categories by selecting the categories you want to compare in the field at the top of the graph. Additionally, you can also find the insights of the category-wise expense below the graph.
2) Analytics
This tab is handy for viewing more detailed information of the expenses incurred across a specific cross section like Business Unit, Department, Location, or Cost Center. You can select any of these parameters to get a closer look at their expenses, which are presented in the Expense Analytics graph.
