Tracking Revenue Reports

When there are multiple projects running across the organization for various clients, tracking revenue that is being generated by these clients and projects is key. Keka PSA now comes with robust revenue reports that helps you stay update on the revenue flow from different projects and clients. You can gain more insights into your revenue generation trends and find ways to optimize your process.

This feature is currently only available if you have subscribed to the advanced plan that includes billing and invoicing features.

Let's examine the many revenue reports that you have access to in Keka PSA as well as how to use them. Every revenue report will be seen in Keka PSA's Analytics area.

Navigate to Project (1) on the left sidebar and choose the Analytics (2) tab. By default, you will be on the Insights (3) tab, where the revenue reports are located under the Revenue By (4) heading.

In Keka PSA, revenue is recognized at the moment an invoice is generated.

Currently, there are ten revenue reports available for your use, which can be found on this page. However, before exploring these reports, it's essential to configure an important setting: the Base Currency.

Setting Up the Base Currency

If this is your first time accessing the revenue reports, you will be prompted to select a base currency for all your reports. Since you may be working with various currencies across different clients and projects, choosing a single base currency enables you to view all revenue reports consistently in that currency, regardless of the specific currency used for billing each client.

This selection is crucial for accurately calculating your total revenue and for facilitating comparisons between the revenue generated by different clients.

If you have not yet set a base currency, you will see a prompt to do so on the Insights page mentioned above. Simply click the "Click here" link to navigate to the appropriate settings page. Alternatively, you can reach this page by going to Project >> Policies and Settings.

Once you have established a base currency, it cannot be modified later on.

On this page, you will see a field that allows you to choose your base currency. To make any changes, simply click on the Edit icon.

Choose the desired currency from the list, and then click on the Save icon to confirm your selection.

Once you have selected and saved your base currency, all revenue analytics reports will be displayed in that currency. Now, let's return to the revenue insights screen to explore the valuable insights available to you.

On this page, you'll find a variety of pre-configured reports that can be filtered and customized to reflect the specific revenue insights you are interested in. You can access the list of available revenue insights from the Insights page, and you'll also find a menu on the left pane that allows you to navigate through the various insights easily.
