Keka PSA's Resource Management Enhancements
We're excited to announce significant improvements to Keka PSA's resource management capabilities, designed to enhance flexibility and streamline your project management processes.
What's New?
These exciting updates address key pain points and provide greater control over resource allocation:
1. More Accurate Allocated Hours:
- Previously, allocated hours on the Resource Planner and Utilization page included weekends, holidays, and leaves. We've addressed this! Now, you can select weekly offs for each resource within a project.
- The system will automatically exclude these off days for a more accurate calculation of allocated hours and resource utilization.
- To access the Week-Off section, navigate to the Project menu, then select Policies & Settings. Under the Allocation category in Resource Management, you will find the Week-Off settings listed as Capacity Settings.
2. Flexible Allocation Percentages:
- You can now allocate resources to projects with any percentage you desire!
- By default, Keka suggests options like 5%, 10%, 20%, etc. But for more granular control, simply type in your desired percentage and save.
3. Enhanced Resource Planner:
- The Resource Planner now displays:
- Start and End Dates of Allocation
- Allocation Percentage
- Allocated Hours
- Number of Allocated Days
- Additionally, the allocation bar width dynamically shrinks based on the allocation percentage (e.g., 50% allocation will have a half-width bar compared to 100%).
4. Informative Tooltips:
- Click on an allocation bar on the Resource Planner to reveal a helpful tooltip.
- It displays:
- Allocation Percentage
- Allocated Hours and Days
- Project
- Allocation Start and End Dates
Allocating Resources in Keka PSA
- Navigate to the "Projects" section and select the desired project.
