Overview of Review Cycles: Simplifying Performance Management

Effective performance management is integral to organizational success. The Review Cycles screen provides a comprehensive overview of performance review activities, categorized by year and presented in an intuitive, user-friendly format.

This streamlined approach helps HR teams and managers stay on top of review processes and ensures timely evaluations.

Key Features of the Review Cycles Overview:

1. Categorized by Month and Status

Review cycles are neatly organized by month—January, April, July, and October—providing clear visibility into the year’s performance management activities. Each cycle’s current status is displayed using intuitive status indicators:

  • Setup Pending: Requires further setup to proceed.
  • Ready for Launch: All configurations are complete, and the cycle is ready to be initiated.
  • Launched: The review cycle is active and underway.
  • Closed: The review process for the cycle is completed.

2. Actionable Insights

For every review cycle, the following actions can be performed based on its status:

  • Continue Setup: For cycles that are pending, users can resume the setup process.
  • Verify & Launch: For cycles ready to begin, this action initiates the review process.
  • View Progress: For ongoing cycles, users can track progress in real-time.
  • View: For completed or closed cycles, users can review past evaluations and reports.

Each cycle also displays essential details, including the number of employees involved (e.g., “238 employees”) and the number of cycle owners (e.g., “+4 owners”).

3. Reminder for 3 Upcoming Cycles

To ensure timely preparation, the system includes a Reminder for 3 Upcoming Cycles tab. This feature provides proactive notifications starting three months prior to the scheduled dates. For instance, if a cycle is planned for May, reminders begin in February.

Key Highlights:

  • The first review cycle of the year (e.g., January) is labeled as "Upcoming" until its deadline passes.
  • Cycles with deadlines that have already elapsed are marked as "Overdue."

4. Creating New Review Cycles

From the reminders tab, users can conveniently initiate a review cycle using the "Verify & Create" button. This action opens a new window pre-populated with details from the previous cycle, saving time and effort. You can also rename the cycle name and click on Clone option. Users can then fine-tune settings as needed before finalizing and saving the new cycle.

Managing Review Cycles: Cancelation and Discarding

For any reason, if a review cycle needs to be canceled, users can click the cross symbol next to the cycle. This action opens a confirmation window, where users can select the Discard option to remove the cycle from the schedule.
