      Streamlining Time Management with Timesheet Upgrades

      Create tasks directly from timesheets, download timesheets for specific date ranges, and ensure accurate time entry with partial day restrictions

      We’re thrilled to announce three exciting enhancements to the Timesheets feature in Keka PSA. These updates are designed to simplify timesheet management, enhance flexibility, and ensure accuracy, helping your teams work smarter and more efficiently.

       

      1. Create Tasks Directly from Me >> Timesheets

      What’s New:

      Project and client managers can now add tasks directly from Me >> Timesheets without navigating to project settings.

       

       

      Who Can Use It:

      Anyone with "Create and Manage Task" privileges in PSA.

       

       

      Why It Matters:

      This upgrade streamlines task creation, making it more accessible and closer to where resources log their time. It’s particularly useful for managing non-recurring or ad-hoc tasks efficiently.

       

      2. Download Timesheets for a Custom Date Range


      What’s New:

      Resources can now download timesheets for various timeframes, including:

      • Current period
      • This month
      • Last month
      • Custom date ranges

       

       

      Why It Matters:

      Previously, users had to scroll through individual weeks to download timesheets, which was time-consuming. With this update, users can quickly select a date range and download all relevant timesheet data, significantly improving reporting efficiency.

       

       

      3. Partial Day Restrictions for Accurate Time Logging


      What’s New:

      A new restriction ensures that resources cannot submit more hours than their available total for a given day. For example:

      • If on half-day leave, only 4 hours can be logged.
      • Logging 8 hours on such days will trigger an error.

       

       

      Why It Matters:

      This enhancement ensures data accuracy by preventing inflated or distorted work hours. Previously, resources could log extra hours, leading to discrepancies like 8 logged hours + 4 leave hours = 12 hours. This update maintains the integrity of timesheet data.
