Navigating the Administration Section of the Goals

The Administration section under the Goals tab of Keka HR’s Performance module is a critical area for HR professionals and managers. It allows for efficient oversight and management of employee goals. Here's how to utilize this section effectively:

To access the Goals administration in Keka HR's Performance Module, Navigate to the Performance (1) section, then open the Goals (2) tab and click on Administration (3).

This table lists employees who have not set goals or have fewer than the recommended number. The list is a comprehensive view, displaying each employee's number, name, department, sub-department, location, and number of objectives set. Use the search bar to quickly find specific goals by keywords or goal titles.

Next to each employee is an 'Action' column with a + Add Goal(1) button, allowing you to directly assign new goals to an individual. The + Add Goals' dropdown(2) at the top-right corner offers options to assign new goals or add from existing goal templates, streamlining the goal-setting process.

Above the table, various Filters(3) enable you to sort employees by time frame, department, location, and the number of goals, making it easier to identify and address gaps in goal setting across different areas of the organization.


The Bulk Assign Goals feature under the Goals section is a powerful tool designed to facilitate the mass allocation of objectives or goals to employees for a specified timeframe.

Goals Not Updated

The "Goals Not Updated" feature section is designed to track and address goals that have not seen progress updates. It highlights goals that require attention, ensuring that all team members are actively working towards their objectives. 

The table displays each goal's title, the number of sub-goals and tasks, employee details, and the date added. This comprehensive view allows managers to quickly assess which goals are stagnant. Above the table, various Filters(1) enable you to sort employees by Department and Goal Type in a particular timeframe. Use the search bar to quickly find specific goals by keywords or goal titles.

For each goal listed, when you click Actions(2) this provides quick links to view, edit, update progress, add sub-goals or tasks, close, clone, align, or delete the goal. These options offer immediate steps to encourage goal progression.

From this section you can also Delete goals which are not updated individually or in bulk.

Active Goals

The Active Goals section tab provides managers and HR professionals with a real-time overview of all ongoing goals within the organization. This area is essential for tracking progress, ensuring accountability, and keeping teams aligned with their targets.

The table displays each active goal along with critical details such as the goal title, sub-goal count, tasks count, employee number, owner, department, status, approval status, and last updated information. Use the search bar to quickly find specific goals by keywords or goal titles.

Next to each goal, an 'Actions'(1) column with three dots provides a drop-down menu with options to view, edit, update progress, add sub-goals or tasks, close, clone, align, or delete the goal. This facilitates immediate actions to manage the goal effectively.

Various 'Filters'(2) at the top allow you to sort goals by time frame, department, goal type, goal status, and approval status. This feature enables you to find specific goals quickly and identify which ones require immediate attention or are due for an update.


The '+ Add Goals(1)' at the top-right corner allow for the addition of new goals or add from existing goal templates and 'Import(1)' button allows for objectives to be imported in bulk. 'Checkboxes(2)' next to each goal title enable bulk actions such as deletion, which can be useful for managing multiple goals simultaneously.

The Active Goals section is a crucial feature for maintaining an effective performance management system, ensuring that all employees are progressing towards their objectives and contributing to the organization's success.

Closed Goals

The Closed Goals tab is where you can track the completion of goals within the organization. Use the 'Time Frame(1)dropdown to filter closed goals by specific periods, like Q3-2023, to review past performance or audit completed objectives. Narrow down your view to specific departments or types of goals for targeted analysis. Use the search bar to quickly find specific closed goals by keywords or goal titles.

View critical information like goal title, sub-goal count, tasks count, employee number, owner, department, progress, and the date closed. Each goal has an 'Actions(2)' menu where you can view, clone, or reopen the goal if needed. This is useful if a goal needs to be revisited or adjusted.

Unaligned Goals

The Unaligned Goals section is situated under the Administration tab within the Goals section. This area is specifically tailored for HR managers to oversee and rectify goals that are not yet connected to the broader objectives of the organization, ensuring strategic alignment across all levels.

View critical information like goal title, sub-goal count, tasks count, employee number, owner, department, progress, status and last updated by. Use the search bar to quickly find specific closed goals by keywords or goal titles.

The Unaligned Goals section is particularly useful for ensuring that all employees are working towards the same  targets, thus fostering a unified direction and purpose within the organization. It also serves as a reminder to align individual efforts with the company's broader strategy, promoting a cohesive and focused workforce.

Pending Approval

The Pending Approval section found within the Goals tab focuses on managing the approval process for employee goals, ensuring that all objectives set are in line with organizational standards before being finalized.

View information like employee names, department & sub-departments, goal type and who the approval is waiting on. Use the search bar to quickly find specific closed goals by keywords or goal titles.

Actions and Functionalities:

  • Approve/Reject Buttons(1): Enable you to approve or reject goals directly from this screen, streamlining the process.
  • Remind Button(2): Sends a reminder to the approver, ensuring timely action on goal approvals.
  • Bulk Actions(3): Checkboxes next to employee names allow for bulk approval or rejection, making it easier to handle multiple requests at once.

This section is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the goal-setting process. By ensuring that each goal aligns with organizational objectives and gets the necessary approvals, Keka HR helps foster a culture of accountability and progress.

This Administration section is designed to ensure that no employee falls behind in their goal-setting, providing a straightforward interface to monitor and promote active goal management. It's a key feature in maintaining a goal-oriented culture within your organization.
