Managing Employee Skills as a Reporting Manager on Keka

As a reporting manager on Keka, you have the ability to manage and update skills for your direct and indirect reports. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to effectively use the skills management features in Keka for your team.

Accessing Skills Management for Reports

Navigate to My Team (1) go to the Performance (2) tab on & click on the Skills (3) tab to access the skills management features.



Managing Skills for Individual Employees

From the list under the Skills tab, select either Direct Reports or Indirect Reports to view the respective employees. Click on an employee's name to view their skill profile.

If no skills are assigned to an employee, click on Add skills to profile to start adding skills. You can either add new skills from the repository or create new ones as required.

Bulk Updating Skills

Use the Update all skills button to modify multiple skills simultaneously.

In the next page, click on the pencil icon to edit any of the skills. Here, you will get options like:

      • Skill Rating: Update the skill rating as necessary.
      • Certificates: Attach any relevant certificates.
      • Behaviours: Add or modify behaviours associated with the skill.
      • Experience: Update the years of experience the employee has in that skill.

Additional Features

Toggle the Show detailed view to see more granular details of each skill, such as certifications and behaviors, directly from the main skills page.

 

Managing Skill Requests:

Navigate between Pending Approval and Past Requests tabs to manage skill updates:
  • Pending Approval: Review and approve or reject skill updates that require your authorization.
  • Past Requests: View the history of skill updates for transparency and record-keeping.

These tools and features allow you as a reporting manager to effectively oversee and enhance the skill profiles of your team members, ensuring they align with organizational goals and individual development plans.
