The Roles feature within the resources section of Keka PSA serves as a centralized repository for managing roles associated with various resources in assigned projects. These roles form the foundation for establishing specific role rates applicable to any project or client.

Now, let's explore how you can effectively add and manage billing and project roles in Keka PSA.

 

To view the different roles that have been configured in Keka PSA, navigate to the Projects section (1) in the left-hand navigation pane. From there, click on the Resources tab (2) and then select the Roles tab (3).

Here, you will see a comprehensive list of the roles that have been assigned across various projects.

 

 

To create a new role, simply click on the +Add Role button located on this page. This action will direct you to the Add Billing Role window, where you can input the necessary details for the new role.

 

 

Provide the Name of the Role along with a Description. Once you have entered the details, click on the Add button to create the new role. This role will then appear on the Roles page, making it available for use in various client rate cards. Additionally, these roles can be assigned to resources when they are allocated to a new project.

 

 

You have the option to edit or delete roles directly from this page. To do so, simply locate the three dots icon in the Actions column and select either Edit or Delete from the drop-down menu.

Please note that you cannot delete a role that is currently assigned to resources in any project. To proceed with the deletion, ensure that you first remove these assignments.
