Leave Balance Adjustment

Easily adjust leave balances in Keka HRMS. Learn how to manage leave adjustments, correct balances, and ensure accurate leave records for employees.


Many Organizations face challenges in managing employee leave balances accurately, often stemming from issues with record-keeping and enforcing policies consistently. Errors in communication and manual processes can result in discrepancies that affect both employee morale and the precision of payroll calculations. Keka HR has simplified the leave balance adjustment process by eliminating the need for Excel files, ensuring accurate, real-time data updates.

To access the leave balance adjustment feature, begin by clicking on the Time attend section in the left pane, then navigate to the Leave tab. Look for the Leave balance sub tab and click on it to make necessary adjustments. Within this tab, you will find a list of employees. 

Simply select the employee you wish to adjust the leave balance for, then click on the three-dotted menu located under the Actions column and choose the option Edit leave balance.

This will open a window where you can make necessary edits for the leave type you want.

Leave balance adjustments are in hours or days based on the Leave setup you have configured. Pay close attention to ensure accuracy when making changes here.



Enter the number of days you wish to allocate as leave for a specific type and finally click the Save button. The saved changes will reflect immediately on the Employee's profile.

Leave Balance Adjustment History

You can also check when the leave balance was last updated for a specific employee.

Click on Me section on the left pane and select Leave tab. This will land you on Summary page.

Now scroll down to Leave Balances section and click on View details option for any leave type. 

This will open window displaying the details of leave balance and when it was last updated.
