How to edit a revised salary for an employee on Keka?
Salary revision is done to increase workplace satisfaction and employee retention. Performance-based compensation and recognition are important to employees. The annual appraisal period can be hectic & while updating/revising salaries for multiple employees, there might be a situation where we add the salary with incorrect details. The salary needs to be re-updated with the correct details before processing the payroll.
Let us take a look at how can we update/ edit the revised salary for an employee.
Search for the Employee's Name on the Global search bar (1) and on their profile navigate to the Finances (2) tab. Click on the Pay (3) tab & you will be directed to the Salary (4) tab.
Once you have reached the Salary Timeline section, click on the 3 dots (1) & select Edit Salary (2) to make changes in the revised salary.
You can now make changes in the Annual Salary amount, Salary revision Effective from date & the Salary Structure Type.
You can verify the salary breakup of an employee by clicking on View Salary Breakup.
Once you have updated & verified all the details, click on Update to save the changes.
The salary revision changes are now updated & you will be able to check the details in the employee's profile.
Please do a Preview Run Payroll for the changes to reflect in the Payregister.
Please be advised that we can only edit the Salary revision if the payroll has not been processed/finalized with the updated salary. There might be Arrear calculated by the system if you have added a past effective date for the salary revision.
