Introducing Monthly & Hourly Remuneration in Keka
We’re excited to announce the addition of Monthly and Hourly Remuneration options in Keka! These new remuneration types offer you the flexibility to define salaries on a monthly or hourly basis, tailored to meet the specific needs of your workforce.
Why These New Remuneration Types?
Monthly and hourly pay structures are common across various industries. For example:
- Monthly Remuneration is perfect for short-term contracts, internships, or project-based roles where an annual salary may not be applicable or could create confusion. Now, you can offer clarity and precision in compensation by setting monthly pay rates.

- Hourly Remuneration is ideal for part-time employees, freelancers, or retail staff whose pay depends on the exact hours worked. With this feature, you can skip manual conversions of hours to days and directly log payable hours, saving time and reducing errors.

These new options will streamline payroll, especially for teams where work schedules are variable or contracts are non-annual.
Key Updates in this Release:
- Unified Salary Structure Selection: The previously separate tabs for Range-based and Custom salary structures are now accessible via a single dropdown, making it easier to navigate and set up salary structures.
- Remuneration Type Restrictions: For now, employees assigned to hourly pay cannot be switched to monthly or annual pay within the same pay period, and vice versa. We’re working to enable flexibility on this in upcoming updates.
