Defining and Assigning Career Tracks to Employees
This feature is currently in development and is available only to internal employees.
In today's dynamic workplace, managers must proactively define and assign career tracks that align with both organizational goals and the career aspirations of their team members. This approach keeps employees engaged, motivated, and equipped to advance in their careers.
Understanding Career Tracks
Career Tracks provide a structured path for employee growth, helping individuals progress in their roles while meeting organizational needs. Managers play a key role in identifying employees' strengths and aligning them with suitable career paths. Personalized career tracks are essential for retaining top talent by catering to their unique ambitions and competencies.
Assigning Career Tracks
Managers and administrators can assign career tracks to employees based on their roles, skills, and career goals. Here's how:
Navigate to the Performance Section. Click on Assign Paths. A window will appear, showing all employees and their current career paths.
To assign a path, select the employee and click Assign/Change Path.
Select the desired career path for the employee, then click Save.
To modify an existing path, click Change Path in the action column on the right side. Select the desired career path for the employee.
Once all tracks are set, click Save to finalize the new career path.
In the Import from Excel section, you can download an Excel file to begin. This process is used to efficiently assign or update career paths for multiple employees at once.
When importing career paths for employees, the employee number, career path department, sub-department, and career path are mandatory, while the employee's name and job title are optional. Ensure each employee has individual columns. If a new career path is added for an employee who already has one, their path will be updated. Finally, upload the completed Excel file.
By following these steps, managers can align employees' personal goals with the organization's needs. We hope this guide on defining and assigning career tracks was helpful. For further assistance, feel free to reach out to our product experts—we're here to help!
