How to Add Competencies as an Employee in Keka?

Adding competencies to your profile in Keka allows you to showcase your skills and proficiency levels, making it easier for your manager and the organization to track your expertise.

Follow the steps below to add competencies to your profile:1. Navigate to Your Competency Profile

  1. Log in to your Keka account.
  2. Click on the "Me" (1) section in the left navigation menu.
  3. Go to the "Performance" (2) tab in the top menu bar.
  4. Select "Competencies'' (3) from the available options.

2. Add New Competencies

  1. Click on the "Add Competencies" (4) button located in the top-right corner of the Competency section.
  2. A pop-up window will appear, showing a list of available competencies from your company’s repository.

3. Select Competencies

  1. Use the search bar or browse the list to find the relevant competencies.
  2. Click on the "+" icon next to the competencies you want to add. Selected competencies will appear in the "Competencies Selected" section.
  3. Once you have selected the competencies, click "Next."

4. Rate Your Competencies

  1. Assign a rating to each competency based on your self-assessed proficiency (e.g., 1 star for beginner, 3 stars for expert).
  2. Click "Save" to confirm your ratings.

5. Review and Update Existing Competencies

  1. After saving, the added competencies will appear in your profile under the "Competencies" section.
  2. On the Competency Profile page, click "Update All Competencies(5) to edit or update existing ones.

3. You can bulk update details such as:
    • Ratings: Adjust your proficiency level.
    • Certificates: Attach relevant certifications by clicking “Attach” under the Certificates column.
    • Experience: Specify the duration of your experience for a competency (e.g., “2 years”).
4. Use the Edit (pencil) (6) icon under the Actions column to make individual updates.

  1. After making updates, click on the right arrow to save the changes.
  2. This process allows you to edit each competency individually, and once done, you can click on the "Update" button to save your changes.
  3. Ensure that the updated competencies are accurately reflected in your profile for proper evaluation during performance reviews.
