Career Path

Utilizing the Settings Configuration Feature for Effective Career Path Management and Approval

This feature is currently in development and is available only to internal employees.

Effectively managing changes to career paths is crucial for aligning employee development with organizational goals. The Settings Configuration feature is a powerful tool that helps organizations control and customize how career tracks are modified and how skills are prioritized. Here’s how you can use this feature to implement an effective approval process for career path changes:

To start, navigate to the Performance section and select Career Path. Within Career Path, click on Settings. This will open a window where you can configure various settings related to career path management.

In the settings window, look for the option Enable Approval Settings. Activating this option allows you to establish an approval chain that ensures any changes to career paths undergo a structured review process before being finalized.

Once the approval settings are enabled, you can define the approval chain by adding different levels of reviewers. Click on +Add New Level to introduce additional layers of approval. This feature allows you to include various stakeholders, such as direct supervisors, HR representatives, and senior management, in the approval process.

For each level of the approval chain, you can specify who is responsible for reviewing and approving changes. This customization ensures that the approval process aligns with your organizational structure and policies. You can add and configure reviewers based on their roles and responsibilities, ensuring that all relevant perspectives are considered.

Check the box for Auto-approve (and skip) approver level. If the approver is not yet registered with Keka or hasn't been assigned the appropriate role, this step will be skipped.

With the approval chain in place, any proposed changes to career paths will be routed through the designated levels of review. Each approver will have the opportunity to assess the changes, provide feedback, and either approve or request modifications. This systematic approach helps maintain consistency and fairness in career path management.
