Enhanced Task Management: Hiding Billing Status for Resources
Purpose
The primary purpose of this feature is to allow organizations to hide the billable status of tasks from their resources. This can be beneficial for various reasons, such as:
- Promoting Fairness: Ensuring all tasks are treated equally, regardless of their billing status.
- Encouraging Focus: Preventing resources from prioritizing billable tasks over non-billable ones.
- Improving Team Morale: Fostering a sense of fairness and value among team members.
Benefits
- Improved Fairness: Promotes a more equitable work environment.
- Enhanced Focus: Encourages resources to prioritize tasks based on importance rather than billing status.
- Increased Team Morale: Boosts employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Greater Flexibility: Allows organizations to tailor their task management approach.
How to Configure
To enable or disable the task billing status visibility setting, navigate to the Project section, then select Policies & Settings, and finally, click on Task Settings.
Impact on User Experience
When this setting is enabled, the billable status of tasks will be hidden from the following pages:
- Me > Timesheet > All Timesheets (table view and card view)
- Me > Timesheet > Past Due
- Me > Timesheet > Rejected Timesheets
- Me > Timesheet > Project Time
On the Project Time page, total hours will be displayed instead of breaking down hours by billable and non-billable status.
- Me > Timesheet > Time Summary
This page will display cards and charts in different colors based on whether the user has enabled or disabled the setting.
- Me > Timesheet > My Tasks
When navigating to the "Me" section, then clicking on "Timesheet" and selecting "My Tasks," resources will no longer be able to see the billing status of tasks.
- Me > Timesheet > Projects Allocated
By utilizing this new feature, organizations can create a more productive and harmonious work environment while maintaining effective task management practices.
