How to round off leave balances of all employees?

Leave balance refers to the remaining number of leaves that an employee can utilize from their sanctioned annual leave quota. The annual quota can accrue on a monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly basis, and in some cases, it may result in decimal values due to factors like the employee's joining date or the annual quota itself. This can prevent employees from fully utilizing their allocated leave balance, impacting their overall experience. However, with Keka, administrators have the option to round off leave balances to the nearest half or full day. Enabling this setting allows employees to apply for and utilize their full leave balance effectively.

Now, let's see how administrators can enable the setting to round off leave balances:

Go to the Time Attend (1) section and click on Leave (2), you will be redirected to the Leave Plans (3) where you'll see all the currently active policies listed.

Select the leave policy and the leave type you want to round off in that policy where you would like to make the changes. Now, click on the three dots (4) under Actions and select Settings (5) option.

In the second section, go to Leave Application section, under Leave Application Rules (2) check the box next to Round ____decimal leave balance ____day (3). Once we check the box, you can configure the round-off settings to nearest/next/previous half day or full day as per your requirements. When the required changes are made, click on Save Changes (4).

The new setting is effective immediately and the leave balances of the employee assigned the given policy are updated automatically.
