How to delete a department?

There can be various reasons for the dissolution of a department in an organization. Some common reasons include restructuring or reorganization, cost reduction or financial constraints, technological advancements, changes in business focus, etc..

Keka gives admins the option to delete departments from the Keka portal as and when required by the organization as long as no employees are assigned to it at the time.


Let us take a look at the steps to delete a department on Keka - 


Go to the Org (1) section and click on Org Structure (2). Navigate to Departments (3) and select the Active Departments (4) you would like to delete. On the right side, under options (three dots), select Delete (5).



 

In the pop-up select Confirm and the department will be deleted.
