How to configure WFH approval chain?

The WFH request approval chain is important for maintaining control over operations, ensuring productivity, maintaining compliance, and keeping employees engaged and connected with the organization. It is an essential tool for managing a remote or hybrid workforce effectively.


To set up the WFH approval chain process on the Keka HR portal, navigate to Time Attend (1) and then go to Attendance Tracking (2). Ensure that you're on the Capture Scheme tab and select the relevant capture scheme (3). Click on the update icon (4) to open a new window. 




On the Update Capture Scheme window, proceed to the Remote work section. Now enable the Work From Home (WFH) option by toggling the switch to see the settings that you can use to configure the WFH request and approval process.



Check the first option and set how many times employees can WFH. To enable approval chain check the option Approval mandatory if requests exceed "X" number of times. This will give you an option assign LEVEL 1 Approval. Add specific employees or roles that have been configured in the system such as Reporting Manager, Project Manager etc.

 

You can also add more levels by clicking +Add new level.
