How to configure settings to mark employee as absent if they have not completed the minimum number of working hours?
Learn how to configure settings in Keka HRMS to mark employees as absent if they haven't completed the minimum number of working hours for the day.
In this article we are going how to mark an employee as absent in case they have not completed a defined number of work hours.
To do this, go to Time Attend (1) and select Attendance tracking (2). Here move to Penalisation Policy (3) and choose the tracking policy you want (4).
Now in the Penalisation Policy move to Versions and click the Edit Icon available.
In the basic information section select a date you want this to be effective from. After selecting the date click on Save.
You cannot choose past date.
Then move to work hours section and enable the option Work hours shortage by toggling the switch.
Now configure the option Deduct leave for the shortage of Effective/Gross Hours on Day/Week/Month.
For the option If average effective hours in a Day is less than shift hours, deduct leave as per policy below: choose the percentage of shift hours and number of leaves to be deducted.
Finally click Save button and you can exit the setup window.
Hope it is now clear how to configure settings to mark employee as present only if they complete defined work hours. Need more help? You can refer to the other articles available.
