How to Configure Paternity leave so that employees can consume the leave in 2 parts in a calendar year?
Paternity leave is given to male employees on the event of childbirth either 15 days before or 6 months from the date of delivery. In most cases, these 15 days are taken at a stretch but in case you would like to allow employees to split this leave you can do so.
To configure these settings, go to Time Attend (1) and select Leave (2). Here under Leave Plans, select the Leave plan (3) you want and search for Paternity Leave (4). Under Actions column for the Paternity Leave select Setup(5).
If it is not available you can click on +Add leave type under configuration and add it. If it is already set up and you want to make changes click on 3 dot menu and select Update.
In the Setup page under Accrual section, set how many days of Paternity leave is awarded per year and click Save And Next at the bottom. This will take you to the Leave application section.
I hope the process to split paternity leave is now clear. Need more help? You can refer to the other articles available.
