How to change the name of employee on Keka and reflect it in the payslips

 

 

Sometimes, due to spelling mistakes or any reason, the admin might need to change the employee's name in the portal. Keka provides you with an option to do the same at any given point in time, but along with that, the new name should also reflect in the payslip. Changing the name or any details of the employees which has to be visible on the payslip will not be getting changed automatically. Here's how we can change the name and reflect that into the payslip. 


Below is the path to change the Name of the employee - 

 

Go to the Global Search Bar (1) of the Keka Portal and search for the employee.  Select the employee and click on Profile (2). Then click on the Edit (3) option of the Primary Details. 

 

 

Once you click on Edit, a pop-up will appear on the screen. Change the employee's Name (1) and click on Update (2). 

 

 

If any field has been changed, you need to do process payroll, in order to reflect the change into the payslip.

Below is the path to do Preview Run Payroll-


Go to the Payroll (1) section of the Keka Portal and then click on Run Payroll (2)



 

Once you reach the Run Payroll page, scroll down and click Process Payroll.



 

Once you click on Process Payroll, all the changes that have been made will get updated for the upcoming month's payslip.

 

The changes will not be reflected for payroll months which are already finalized but these changes will reflect in the upcoming payroll months.
