What's New
Keka’s Job Architecture now provides a structured way to organise job titles, group related roles into Job Families, and map them to appropriate career levels and tracks. Administrators can create and manage job titles, configure levels and tracks, and organise roles into families based on their nature of work.
The framework also supports custom streams for specialised career paths, allowing organisations to structure roles according to their career progression requirements. Administrators can manage job title details, review employee mappings, and update job family configurations to maintain a consistent view of roles across the organisation.
Why This Matters
As organisations grow, maintaining a consistent structure for job titles, role seniority, and career progression becomes increasingly important. Without a defined framework, grouping similar roles and establishing clear progression paths across individual contributor, management, and executive positions can become difficult.
Job Architecture helps organisations establish a common structure for defining roles and career paths. By grouping related job titles into Job Families and mapping them to the appropriate levels and tracks, administrators can improve visibility into role hierarchies, standardise career progression structures, and support workforce planning.
What's Included
- Manage Job Titles: Create, edit, and delete job titles with details such as business titles, experience ranges, job descriptions, attachments, and required skills.
- Configure Levels: Define the level structure by setting starting level numbers, the number of levels, prefixes, and custom level names to represent role seniority and scope.
- Set Up Career Tracks: Configure career tracks with names, prefixes, descriptions, and level ranges to represent different career progression paths.
- Create Job Families: Group related job titles into Job Families based on their nature of work, skills, and areas of expertise. Each job title can belong to only one Job Family.
- Map Job Titles to Levels and Tracks: Assign job titles to the appropriate level and track combinations within a Job Family to establish a structured role hierarchy.
- Create Custom Streams: Add specialised career streams under existing tracks to accommodate specific role requirements while inheriting the level range of the selected track.
- Manage Role Mappings: Change or remove mapped job titles, add titles where supported, and review employee counts and mapping details.
-
Review Job Family Details and Activity: View job titles associated with a family, filter roles by level or stream, and track configuration changes through the activity timeline.
