Introduction
Keka offers a direct Jira Integration, allowing you to sync Jira tasks and worklogs into Keka PSA. This ensures real-time, accurate billing and utilization tracking ,no double entry required.
In this article, you’ll learn how to connect your Jira account with Keka, map users and projects, and automatically sync tasks and time entries.
Steps to Set Up Jira Integration
Go to Apps in Keka
Navigate to the apps section on your keka portal.
Search for Jira for Projects and click on it.
Connect Your Jira Account
Click Connect new account.
Enter your Jira domain and click Continue.
Log in to your Jira account to authorize the connection.
Map Users Between Keka and Jira
In the User Mapping step, match your Keka employees with their corresponding Jira users.
and click on next step.
Sync and Map Projects
In the Sync Projects step, click Map New Project.
Select a Keka project and match it with the related Jira project.
Choose the Task Billing Type, map users, and click Save.
Repeat this for each project you want to sync, then click Next Step.
Configure the Webhook
In Jira, generate a Webhook URL and Secret Key.
In Keka, enter the Webhook Name, paste the URL, and add the Secret Key.
Click Complete to finish setup.
Once done, Jira tasks and time entries will begin syncing to Keka automatically.
What Happens After Setup?
Tasks from Jira will appear in Keka in a read-only format (name and status only).
Worklogs in Jira become editable time entries in Keka.
Project managers gain a single source of truth for both delivery and billing without any manual effort.
Note : This integration supports Scrum and Kanban project types in Jira. Other templates are
not yet supported
Tip: Make sure all relevant Jira users are already added in Keka and assigned to
their projects before mapping.
