If you’re unable to update an employee’s pay group, it’s likely because payroll has already been processed for the movement month or the following month.
Keka locks pay group changes once payroll is processed, to ensure consistency in pay structure and calculations across months.
To update the pay group:
You must roll back payroll for:
The month in which the pay group change is supposed to happen (movement month)
The following month as well
Only after both rollbacks are completed will the system allow you to change the employee’s pay group.
