Introduction
To maintain billing accuracy and prevent invoicing issues, project timesheets often need approval from project leads before they’re finalized. You can customize this process in Keka PSA by enabling or disabling timesheet approvals and defining multi-level approval chains tailored to your project needs.
This guide walks you through how to configure the default approval workflow for project timesheets.
Step by step instructions
Access Approval Settings
Go to the Project module from the left navigation pane.
Click the Policies & Settings tab.
Select the Approval Chain tab.
Click Edit Settings to make changes.
Modify Approval Chain Settings
In the Edit Approval Chain Settings window, you can:
Disable approvals by unchecking “Does the project timesheet require approval?”
-
Assign approvers:
In the Role/Employee field, type a specific name or select a role
-
Set up multiple approval levels:
Click +Add New Level to introduce additional approvers
-
Handle approval delays:
Enable auto-approval using “Auto-Approve and skip this level if no action is taken in __ days”
Enter the number of days to wait before auto-approval is triggered
Once your configuration is complete, click Update to apply the new approval chain.
