This guide walks you through what project health means, how tracking works, and how to set up parameters and questions within Keka PSA.
What Does “Project Health” Mean?
Project Health represents the overall progress and condition of a project. It measures how well the project aligns with its goals, timelines, and expected outcomes.
Monitoring project health provides:
A clear view of current project status.
Early detection of potential risks or delays.
Actionable insights to help managers and teams make timely interventions.
By tracking these indicators, project managers can ensure smoother execution and higher chances of successful project completion.
How Does Project Health Tracking Work?
Keka PSA offers a customizable system that helps project managers evaluate project performance through two main components:
Customizable Parameters:
Create health indicators such as Budget, Timeline, or Resources. Assign statuses like On Track, At Risk, or Delayed to represent their current state.Status Questions:
Add specific questions like What is the current bottleneck? or Are additional resources needed? to gather qualitative feedback from project managers or teams.
This approach allows managers to:
Continuously monitor issues and performance trends.
Take proactive measures to address risks.
Improve accuracy in project reporting and forecasting.
Accessing Project Health Parameters
Navigate to the Project section in the left navigation pane.
Click on Policies & Settings.
Select the Project tab and then click on Health.
Enabling or Disabling Parameters
Keka PSA offers a toggle feature to control which parameters actively contribute to project health tracking.
To enable or disable a parameter, simply use the toggle switch beside it.
Enabled parameters will appear in project health evaluations, while disabled ones will be excluded.
Adding New Parameters or Status Questions
To introduce new tracking criteria or project health questions:
Go to the Project Health page.
Click +Add Parameter (or +Add Question, depending on your configuration).
Enter the parameter name, provide a description (optional), and define how it will be used for tracking.
Save your new parameter.
Editing Existing Parameters
If you need to modify an existing parameter:
Locate the parameter you want to update.
Click the Edit icon next to it.
Update the name, description, or settings as needed.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Deleting or Disabling Parameters
To remove outdated or unnecessary parameters:

Click the Delete icon next to it.
Confirm the deletion to remove it from your tracking list.
If you prefer to retain the parameter for future use, you can simply disable it instead of deleting it.
This ensures a streamlined, focused approach to project health tracking.

These reminders prompt project managers to update the health status of ongoing projects.
