What is 'Parallel' and 'Sequential' review and how can we set them up in Keka?

When running a review cycle, the review forms are triggered to employees to be submitted back with the ratings and feedback. This form can be distributed to employees either sequentially or parallelly. 


In a sequential format, the system holds the review form until a given employee has completed and submitted the form before it is forwarded to the next reviewer, this is backed by a deadline with reminder emails auto-triggered by the system.

This is preferred in cases where the admin wishes the employee to complete the review first which will allow the RM to read the review of the employee before forming his own. 


In a parallel format, the forms are triggered to all reviewers when the review is initiated. Here as well the deadline and visibility apply in the same manner.


Here's how this can be setup - 

 

Go to the Performance (1) section and into the Reviews (2) section & you will be directed to the Review Groups section, where you can see all the Review Groups (3) that are already created.



Here, click on Launch Cycle.



Launch Cycle button appears post completion of review cyle settings which will appear as Start Setup in the same place.

Now click on Edit.



Now you can select the required distribution strategy and then click on Save to update the form flow.
