How to hide a component in the payslip
Components in the payslip
Your payslip breaks down your salary into many components under two broad categories: income and deductions. When components like the basic pay, HRA, DA etc. fall under income, PF, health insurance etc. fall under deductions. Not every organization pays all sorts of allowances or make all kinds of deductions.
How to hide a component
There are times when a particular component needs to be hidden in the payslip. In order to hide a component in the payslip, go to the Payroll (1) menu and click on Settings (2). Under Pay groups (3) choose your pay group (if you have multiple ones). Now, click on the configure icon (4) against the pay group.
On the next window that pops up, click on Salary components (5) and then on Recurring components (6). Use the search bar (7) to search out the component. When it appears, click on the edit icon (8) against it.
On the overlay window, scroll down to see the dialogue Pay this component outside regular salary of employees. A separate payment statement will be created. and check the box (9) against it. Also, check the box (9) against Hide component in payslip. After that, click on Update (10).
