How is convenience fees for salary disbursal calculated

No more downloading bank transfer statements and the hassle of uploading it on bank websites to pay salaries. With automation, in a few clicks you can make salary payments to your employees directly from Keka. 

In this article we will discuss the pricing of the salary automation feature.

As can be seen, when initiating automation for salary disbursal automation there is a convenience fee of  ₹3 per employee + 18% GST.

 

 

A few important points - 

  • The convenience fee will be charged at the time of payments itself every month after you finalise your payroll. So, you will need to have the required amount of funds in your disbursal account and only then will you be able to initiate payments i.e. the amount to be paid as salary  along with the required convenience fees. In case of insufficient funds, the system will not allow you to progress with the payment and will prompt you to top up the disbursal account to proceed further.

  • Convenience fees is not deducted from your billing credits. A separate invoice will be shared with you for convenience charged in case you enable automated salary payments with Keka. 

  • The convenience fees of Rs 3 per employees for salary disbursal automation will be charged for each payment. For eg: in case a employee is sent 2 payments in a pay cycle, one for just salary and other for bonus, then convenience fees will be charged for each payment. 

  • Furthermore, once funds are deposited in the disbursal account, they are dedicated solely for salary disbursements and cannot be withdrawn. Unlike a wallet, these funds are not meant to be returned once deposited, and they will stay in the account indefinitely. There is no expiration date, allowing you to utilize any extra funds for future payments. Additionally, you have the flexibility to split payment batches, process salaries for specific groups of employees, and even hold funds for later salary disbursements. This ensures efficient and customizable salary payments for all employees involved.
