Background verification for Preboarding Candidates

Background verification (BGV) plays a crucial role in the hiring process, ensuring that organizations make informed decisions about potential candidates. With Keka's latest updates, the BGV process has become even more streamlined and efficient, particularly during the preboarding stage. By enabling users to initiate and monitor background checks directly within the platform, Keka enhances the overall onboarding experience.

This article highlights the latest features, integrations with top background verification (BGV) vendors, and customizable options that enable organizations to perform comprehensive verifications, thereby promoting a safer and more reliable workplace.

Integrations with Leading Background Verification Vendors

Selecting Preboarding Candidates from the Background Verification Tab:

To begin the background verification (BGV) process, go to the Org(1) section and click on the Onboarding(2) tab. Next, select Background Verification(3) and choose the option to start new verification(4)


From there, you can select preboarding candidates you wish to verify.

Initiating BGV for Preboarding Candidates from the Preboarding Tab:


To initiate the background verification for candidates from preborading tab navigate to the Org(1) section and select the Onboarding(2) tab. Next, go to Preboarding(3) section. Here in the BGV Stage(4) column select "Not Started" (5) status. This will display a list of candidates for whom BGV needs to be initiated. Select the desired candidates and click on the "Start new BGV" option from the Actions tab.

Initiating Background Verification in bulk


To initiate background verification in bulk, check the box(1)  next to Name of the candidates tab. Once you have made your selection, go to the BGV Actions(2) dropdown menu and click on start BGV(3) to begin the bulk verification process.



Upon clicking "Start BGV," a new window titled "Start New Verification" will appear. This window is organized into three steps. The first step displays the details of the candidates you have selected for background verification. Then click on next to proceed to the second step.




In the second step Select Checks, you can choose the background verification vendor as well as specify the necessary documents or criteria checks required for the background verification process.

Once you have made your selections, click on "Next" to advance to the third step..




In the third step, titled Finalize, you can review all the details you have entered and to initiate the Background Verification process, simply click on the "Initiate BG Check" button located at the top.
