How to make unused leave expire after "x" days?
Every employee working with whether private or government sector is entitled to a specific number of paid leaves in a year that can be utilized as per the leave policy of the organization. Some organizations want some of the leave types like compensatory offs to expire after a certain number of days if it has not been utilized by the employees.
Let us see how we can configure the leave type in a way that it expires after the defined number of days-
Go to the Time Attend (1) section of the Keka portal, and click on Leave (2) where you will be redirected to the Leave Plans (3) tab.
Select the Leave Plan (1) from the list of leave plans created in your organization and then choose the required Leave Type. Click on the 3 dots against that leave type and click on Settings (2).
In the 1st step of the Settings page i.e., Accrual (1), scroll down to Accrual Restrictions (2) and enable the option "Leave expires after '_x_' from the date of credit" (3) and fill in the number of days as per your organization's requirement. Then click on Save Changes (4) and then you can close the window.
And that's it. If article has solved your query, do let us know!
