How to enable/disable late arrival penalties irrespective of working hours?
Late arrival penalties can encourage accountability, fairness, and productivity, but may reduce flexibility and morale, and may not be legal in some jurisdictions. Enabling or disabling them should depend on the organization's specific needs and policies, as well as legal and regulatory guidelines.
Keka allows you to enable or disable these penalties irrespective of the designated working hours of the employees.
To do so, navigate to Time Attend (1) and then go to Attendance Tracking (2). Now go to the Penalisation Policy (3) tab where you will find a list of available Tracking Policies. Select the relevant one and then go to the Versions (4) section. Now click on the Edit icon (5) for the currently active version.
Give the effective date for the new version of the penalisation policy in the Basic Information section and then proceed to the Late arrival step by clicking Save.
Go to Late arrival section and toggle the switch to enable it. Under Additional settings check the option Ignore late arrival penalty, when employee completes desired Effective Hours/Gross hours in a day. Finally click Save to make changes.
