How to enable the setting where employees have to apply x days prior taking leave?
Learn how to enable the setting in Keka HRMS where employees must apply for leave a specified number of days in advance to streamline leave management.
When going on a long leave, an employee needs to plan it ahead of time and it cannot be taken without prior notice unless it is an emergency. So in such cases, we need to configure the leave system in such a way that they are allowed to apply for leave a certain number of days in advance.
To configure the settings go to Time Attend (1) and select Leave (2). Here move to Leave Plans (3) and select the particular Leave Plan (4) you want. Now for the leave type click options and select Settings (5) under it.
Now, in the leave type settings, go to Leave Application and select Leave Application Rules. Scroll down to the checkbox Prior Notice Needed. When you check the box, you need to enter the number of leave days that require prior notice for both working days and total calendar days. Once this is done, click Save & Continue and then Save & Close on the last page.
Hope you are now clear on how to configure settings for notice to apply leave.
