How to cancel a Leave?

An employee may choose to cancel a leave after they have applied for it. In case the leave is for a future date, they can cancel it themselves however if the leave is already approved and is a past-dated leave, Reporting manager, Global Admin, HR Manager, HR Executive, or any other admin who has access to the Employee Leaves can cancel the leaves on behalf of the employee.

Employees can cancel future leave from Me (1) and then navigate to Leave (2). Under Pending Leave Requests you can see all the Leaves that are pending approval. Search for the leave that you would like to cancel and under the Options (Three Dots) (3) click Cancel Leave (4).

In the Cancel leave window, write the reason and click Confirm.

In case the leave is already approved but is for a future date, employees can still cancel the leave on the Same page by scrolling down to Leave History, and under Actions for the leave they want to cancel, they can select Cancel Leave (5).

How can an admin cancel an employee's leave request.

In case the leave date has passed and the leave is approved, the employee will not be able to cancel the leave. The employee Reporting manager or any admin who has access to the employee's leave can cancel the leave.

To do this, in the Global Search, search the name of the employee and click on the Employees Profile.

On the Employee profile go to Time (1) and select Leave (2)

Scroll Down to Leave History and search for the leave you would like to cancel. Under the Actions Menu, you can then select Cancel Leave (3).

When you cancel a leave, you will still be able to have a record of it in your reports and also see it in the employees profile under Leave History. In case you do not want to create a record of the leave, you can select Delete Leave. A deleted leave will not appear in Leave History or in Reports.
