Leave & Attendance FAQs

How can we mark leave to be accrued only after "x" days of joining?

Companies often set a fixed number of leaves within an annual quota. The frequency of accruing these leaves, whether monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly, is determined by the HR policy of the company.

In certain situations, organizations may mandate that specific types of leaves are accrued after a certain number of days from the employee's joining date. To configure this, you can easily establish the desired number of days based on your leave policy.

Go to the Time Attend (1) section of the Keka Portal and click on Leave (2) under that, open the Leave Plans (3) tab.

Once you open the Leave Plans tab, select the Leave Plan (1)  and find the Leave Type (2) for which you need to change the accrual settings. Then click on the three dots (3) beside the name of the leave type, and select Settings (4).

The leave configuration window will open. In the Probation (1) section, scroll down and click on Accrual for Probation (2). Enable the option "During Probation accrue leave (3) ." Once this option is enabled, you will get options to set the accrual based on starting immediately, after ___ days from the date of joining, or accruing ____ days of leave every month during probation.

Once the probation has been ended by the respective admin the system will automatically take up the annual quota and prorate based on the no of calendar days left.
