How to automatically close Time Frame?
What is this feature?
This feature gives the option to enable automatic closing of timeframes for goals. With this feature, global admins can enable the automatic closing of timeframes, which will automatically close timeframes when the end date has passed.
Why is it needed?
Previously, users had to manually close each timeframe even after the end date passed. This could lead to users forgetting to close them, allowing employees to update their goal progress even after the time frame has ended.
How does it work?
Let's understand how you can enable or disable this option.
Navigate to the Performance section, select Goals, then proceed to Settings. Within the Settings menu, locate Time Frames, and click on Edit Settings to make adjustments.Upon clicking on Edit Settings, a screen will pop up, providing you with the option to enable or disable the automatic closing of time frames. You can simply toggle the switch button to activate or deactivate this feature.
After that, click on Save button to save the selected timeframe setting.
Important Notes:
- By default this setting will be disabled. Global admin will have an option to enable or disable this setting.
- Once this setting is enabled, any timeframe created with a specific end date will be automatically closed by the system when the end date has passed.
- When the time frame is closed then no changes can be made to the goals.
- If a timeframe has previously been closed automatically and is manually reopened, it will not be automatically closed again. In such cases, the user must manually close the timeframe.
